COURSE DESCRIPTION

Our Certificate III in Food Processing targets those performing production related roles that require an application of industry specific skills and knowledge including some technical and problem solving ability. This qualification caters for multi-skilled outcomes and roles that include team leader functions within the production environment. This food processing course will grant you a fundamental knowledge of food safety guidelines and procedures, including how to monitor food quality programs and contribute to Occupational Health and Safety practices.

 

Compact Services Queensland’s trainers are experts in the field and, whatever your area of specialisation, will help you to develop the skills required for employment in the food manufacturing industry.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

There are no formal entry requirements for this course. However, prior to enrolment students are required to provide their Unique Student Identifier, photo identification and meet the language, literacy, and numeracy requirements.

COURSE HIGHLIGHTS

Upon successfully completing this qualification, participants will have the knowledge and skills to:

  • Grain processing (including stock feed, animal feeds, milling wheat, barley, oats and flour milling);

  • Beverages (including juices, soft drinks, cordials, aerated and still waters, energy drinks and other modified confectionery;

  • Dairy processing;

  • Fruit and vegetables;

  • Grocery products and supplies (including honey, jams, spreads, sauces, dressings, condiments, spices, edible oils and fats and pasta); and

  • Poulty.

After achieving this qualification, candidates may undertake the FDF40110 Certificate IV in Food Processing or FDF41007 Certificate IV in Food Safety Auditing, other food processing related qualifications or any other suitable qualification.

 

 

DURATION

​The course is delivered at venues throughout Queensland. The program requires face to face attendance, project work and both theory and practical activities and assessments. Participants have up to 12 months to complete all required work.

 

 

FEES & CHARGES

  • Non-Concessional Fees: $1 per unit ($17 total)

  • Concessional Fees: $0.50 per unit ($8.50 total)

  • Fee Free Year 12 Graduate: $0 per unit ($0 total)

  • ​Full Price Fee for Service: $2900
