Our Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety qualification is suitable for people working in a Work Health and Safety (WHS) role who work to provide leadership and guidance to others and have some limited responsibility for the output of others. The qualification reflects the role of workers who apply a broad knowledge base and well developed skills in a wide variety of contexts and may include coordinators, advisors and facilitators.
This qualification will give you the entry requirements for Diploma of Work Health and Safety. Some other Health and Safety Advisor courses being offered do not provide the entry requirements to complete the Diploma of Work Health and Safety.
Work Health & Safety Officer;

Supervisor with limited WHS responsibilities.
There are no formal entry requirements for this course. However, prior to enrolment students are required to provide their Unique Student Identifier, photo identification and meet the language, literacy, and numeracy requirements.
Upon successfully completing this qualification, participants will have the knowledge and skills to:
Identify non-compliances in WHS and implement preventative strategies to ensure a safe workplace;
Implement processes for emergencies;
Assist with compliance around WHS legislation;
Administer various WHS functions, planning and policy/process development in the workplace to ensure safe practices;
Communicate effectively with personnel at all levels of the organisation to ensure compliancy; and
Mentor staff on compliant WHS operations.
