WHAT IS THE PROGRAM?

The program aims to provide funding aligned to the skills needs of industry and respond to changing government priorities. Apprenticeships and traineeships combine training with working in a real job, with a workplace mentor/supervisor while earning a wage. Apprentices and trainees work towards the completion of a nationally recognised qualification while learning valuable skills at work and under the guidance of a training organisation.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO RECEIVE TRAINING?

To be eligible to receive a government contribution, the apprentice or trainee must:

 

  • Have entered into a Training Contract for a qualification that is funded by the department

  • Be registered on DELTA with a commencement date

STUDENT CO-CONTRIBUTION FEES

Student contribution fees are the non-government financial contribution to the cost of the training and assessment services provided by Compact Services Queensland. It may be paid on behalf of the student by their employer or a third party unrelated to Compact Services Queensland. In some cases Compact Services Queensland may provide either a partial or full exemption for a student in respect to the co-contribution fee.**

 

Student contribution fees under the User Choice program are set at $1.60 per nominal hour for each unit of competency/module to be calculated at the time of enrolment.
